Lonsdale House was built in 1851 as a fine gentleman’s residence, which first became a hotel in 1932. Many of the properties original features such as the heavy doors to access the building, ornate cornicing, original bannisters and door surrounds still remain giving the Lonsdale House its period look and a genuine feeling for its original character.
The property has recently undergone a full refurbishment programme using Farrow & Ball paints, Andrew Martin and Mullbury wallpapers. The period look is completed by Laura Ashley style furniture giving this Bowness guest house a twist of both modern and traditional looks.
