OUR BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

The terms and conditions detailed below apply to all bookings made with Lonsdale House, whether on our own website or by telephone or otherwise. Please note that for promotional bookings the relevant additional terms and conditions should be consulted.

When you make a booking, your contract (which shall include these terms and conditions) will be with Lonsdale House. All rates published on our website or quoted by telephone, email or otherwise are offered subject to availability and Lonsdale House reserves the right to refuse any booking for good reason.
Lonsdale House offer a choice of bed and rates. All prices are subject to availability.

PRICING

We offer a wide range of rates and packages. Our packages and pricing may fluctuate depending on availability and demand at any given time. All prices are subject to change without notice. Prices are subject to availability and are inclusive of VAT at the current prevailing rate. Your price is guaranteed once you have been given a confirmation number.

REGULAR RATES

Our regular rates may be cancelled one week prior to the day of arrival without charge after which a charge for the full stay shall be payable. Any cancellations where a deposit has been made will forfeit the deposit.

PROMOTIONAL RATES

Other promotion rates may only be cancelled in accordance with the specific terms applying to that rate which will be advised at the time of booking.

ADVANCED PURCHASE RATES

These rates where offered are fully prepaid at time of booking. Advance Purchase Rates are non-refundable and non-transferable. The credit/debit card used to book the Advance Purchase rate will be required at the check in stage for security reasons. Please note that failure to do so may result in an alternative payment method being required.

AVAILABILITY

During major sporting events or social events certain rates may not be available. Certain dates may be subject to a minimum length of stay. All rates are subject to availability.

SINGLE GUESTS

Individual guests using a single room (where available) may benefit from a reduced rate. When no single room is available, individual guests may book a double or twin room for sole occupancy. These rooms may carry a supplement. Please ask at the time of booking.

CHILDREN

Children under the age of three can stay free, when sharing a room with two paying adults. Children from the ages of 3 to 12 years will be charged at £25.00 per child per night (this covers the cost of bed & breakfast only and all other child meals will be charged for as taken), when sharing a room with two paying adults where a suitable room is available. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought. The hotel will determine whether a room is suitable for the purpose of this offer. Some rooms may be excluded from this offer. Children staying in their own room will be charged 100% of the full adult rate paid by the accompanying adults.

GUESTS WITH IMPAIRED MOBILITY

Due to the nature of Lonsdale House and the steepness of the steps and front of the building access is difficult and may not be suitable for guests with impaired mobility. Please call the hotel direct for details.

DOGS

We welcome dogs and we are able to accommodate dogs in specific rooms, this is chargeable at £20 per dog per stay. Please call the hotel direct for details.

CAR PARKING

Car parking is free at the rear of our hotel and is subject to availability. Lonsdale House accept no liability for damages or loss sustained in our car parks.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Hotel rooms are available to check in from 3pm on the day of arrival. Rooms must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed or included in specific rates and confirmed in writing or agreed by the hotel manager.

BREAKFAST

Most of our rates include breakfast, we offer a full traditional breakfast with tea or coffee, unless stated otherwise. There is no refund for meals which are not taken by guests.

BALANCE OF MONIES OUTSTANDING

Prior to your departure from the hotel you will be required to settle your bill. On arrival you may be asked to produce a valid credit card for the hotel to take pre-authorisation. If you are settling your account in cash or with a debit card, you may be asked for a deposit to cover the cost of your room for your stay (any extras which you may incur in the hotel will not be chargeable to your room account). Lonsdale House accept major credit cards, including MasterCard & Visa. 
In the interests of card security the credit/debit card used to book any Advance Purchase rate or Promotional rate may need to be presented to reception on arrival at the hotel.

GIFT VOUCHERS

Hotel gift vouchers should be presented on check-in or when you arrive at the hotel. 
Any gift vouchers, unless otherwise specified on the voucher, are valid for one year from date of issue. If you have a gift voucher and wish to extend the validity date, please contact the hotel directly, an administration fee may be applied. Expired vouchers can not be reinstated.

COMPLAINTS OR COMMENTS

Any complaint or comment regarding a stay at our hotel should be made in the first instance to the hotel’s duty manager at the time of your stay so that it can be resolved at the time.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information set out on our websites and in any marketing or promotional campaigns, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured on our websites or email campaigns or otherwise at any time. All details are deemed correct, however may be subject to change from time to time.

Lonsdale House shall not be responsible for any loss or damage which you may suffer arising out of events beyond its control or the control of its suppliers (including, without limitation, fire, failure of electrical, gas or other power supplies, strikes, industrial action, terrorist activity, technical problems with transport, illness of entertainers and bad weather), nor for any curtailment, cancellation or change to any accommodation, activity or itinerary or any other consequences which arise as a result of such events.

For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in these terms and conditions shall operate to attempt to exclude or limit Lonsdale House liability for the death or personal injury of any person caused by the negligence of Lonsdale House or its employees, servants or agents or to attempt to exclude or limit Lonsdale Houses liability in any manner which would be unlawful.
These terms and conditions shall be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which the hotel for which you make your booking is situated.

CANCELLATION POLICY

All cancellations are made in accordance with the cancellation terms of the rate booked.

Advance Purchase Rates (these are promotional rates that are excluded from our regular rate cancellation policy) they are non-refundable and non-transferable and full pre-payment that has been taken at the time of booking will be forfeited.

Our regular rates may be cancelled 1 week prior to the day of arrival without charge after which a charge for the full stay will be taken.

Other promotion rates may only be cancelled in accordance with the specific terms applying to that rate which will be advised at the time of booking.

Whilst every effort is made to fulfil any particular requests which you may make in relation to your stay with us, please note that these requests do not form part of our contract and we cannot guarantee that we will be able to meet any particular requests. 
In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your reservation, we reserve the right to do so. However, you have the right to either:
– accept the changed arrangements as notified
– make alternative arrangements with Lonsdale House
– cancel your reservation and receive a full refund of any monies which you have paid to Lonsdale House in respect of your reservation
Please note that we shall not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons in connection with your reservation. For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to or the cancellation of any stay with us.

CANCELATION PROTECTION INSURANCE
